Roy Blunt (Racist) Joke

Former House Republican whip Roy Blunt told a racist-tinged parable at a conference recently. I’m not sure why he didn’t just use any one of the million or so “play the hand you are dealt” analogies for his speech. I’m just astonished that he chose this story for prepared remarks, and that it wasn’t inadvertent or unintentional.

    You know being a black man in this wonderful country and having the republicans show how compassionate and christian they are is…… how can I say this well with comments about monkeys and watermelons on the white house lawn, Obama as a witch doctor, food stamps and gorillas, I would hate to see what they would say if there was racism!

    I believe this kind of thinking is an attempt to destroy what God has called for our great country to become. Rep. Blunt needs to be informed that somewhere it is written, “The last shall be first and the first shallll be last”.

    So, Mr. Blunt, (now that I’ve moved from the slave state of Missouri). “Watch out for the Monkeys”.
