Execustay

I’m exhausted today because in addition to my current consulting gig I am picking up a business case/sales proposal on the side. The case is something I worked on a while ago and it has popped onto the radar again. Since I started it, I’d like to finish it. It has a very low probability of success.

It reminds me of “life rules” that Warren Buffett’s (first?) wife created. I heard this list on NPR. This is according to her granddaughter:
  1. show up
  2. tell the truth
  3. pay attention
  4. do your best
  5. don’t be attached to the outcome -link
The important one, IMHO, is the last one.

Anyways, I have sent in the forms to stay at an “Execustay” hotel, so I will have a nice one-bedroom apartment here in Arkansas. There are a few things I’m looking forward to…the nice gym, the adjacent golf course, and homemade breakfast (with pressed coffee!) in the morning. Also, I’m considering buying a bicycle to commute. I’d like to buy this one, but I’ll probably get this one.
